Solar thermal power plant by CSP
Concentrated solar power plants are the most efficient and viable way to convert solar energy into electricity on larger scales. This technology has been proven to give more than 20% efficiency from solar energy to electricity conversion. Intensive efforts have been carried out in last ten years to make the technology more reliable by different organizations.
ET is focusing on this technology and working hard to make it feasible in India with economy. We have declared to commission a 50 MW solar thermal power plant in Gujarat, India which is expected to be completed by 2014.

| Air conditioning by vapour absorption cycle can be achieved by solar energy input with a few support energy required in terms of electricity. ET is working on the development of solar air conditioning considering efficiency and economy. |
